The EA document has been separated into sections to facilitate downloading. The documents are large in filesize and may require considerable time to download depending on your connection speed. What you will find in the document

The Environmental Assessment (EA) document for the project includes documentation of all the studies completed and contains information on all alternatives considered as they relate to:

Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act requires Federal agencies to take into account the effects of projects on historic and archaeological resources.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on behalf of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) welcomes the comments of individuals and organizations with an interest in the identification of cultural resources (archaeological and historic resources).

Through detailed studies it was determined that the project has de minimis impacts to lands protected by Section 4(f).

The EA document will be available at convenient locations within the project area for public review for 45 days. A Public Hearing will be held June 7, 2007. The EA will also be available on this website on April 30, 2007.

Upon completion of the 45-day review period, the Project Team will compile the comments received and address them. Once the document is approved by FHWA, the project will proceed to Final Design and Construction.

Written comments on the Environmental Assessment may be submitted to PennDOT’s District Office by June 22, 2007. Please address all correspondence to:
